Here’s a quick tip for making LinkedIn your digital business card.
Ever since COVID, I’ve stopped carrying business cards.
Instead, I use my LinkedIn QR code to share my information and capture the info of others with whom I’m speaking.
If you don’t know how to access your personal LinkedIn QR code, here’s a brief tutorial.
1. Open the LinkedIn app on your phone.
2. Go to your homepage.
3. Tap the search bar at the top of your homepage.
4. Tap the QR code icon that will appear to the right when your search bar refreshes.
You’ll now be able to share your QR code or scan someone else’s.
It’s that simple.
BTW, this is a great conversation starter when you’re first meeting someone at an in-person networking event.
And eliminating the use of paper business cards will help make a small but positive impact on our carbon footprint over the course of a year.
